Heads up, Melbourne theatrenauts! This is your invitation to come to the theatre with Alison and Rob.
Our plan next year is to hold regular meet-ups, in which we all go together to see a show and talk about it afterwards. The idea is for an informal gathering that nevertheless has some kind of structure. We don’t want to talk TO you, we want everyone to talk to each other. The idea is to see something interesting, meet other people, enjoy some good conversations, and all in all have a fun and interesting time.
We have some ideas about how to run this, but we don’t know how they will work in practice – so with the support of the wonderful people at Malthouse Theatre, who are are giving discount tickets to our experimental subjects (thank you, Malthouse!), we’re having a try-out next week.
The show is Colm Tóibín’s The Testament of Mary, directed by Anne-Louise Sarks and starring Pamela Rabe. You can find out more here.
Witness Night is next Tuesday, on November 21st 2017 at 6.30pm. (We don’t have sponsorship, so I’m afraid we’ll all be buying our own drinks).
Tickets are limited, so it is first come, first served.
Hope to see you there!
Yours in solidarity
Alison and Rob
